Student clinic fees are lower than area dentists. The faculty practice charges about the same as a private dentist. You get a cost estimate after your exam.

When it's open

Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. No after-hours urgent or emergency care.

Will they take me?

Your first visit is a screening to see if student care, a specialty clinic or a faculty dentist fits your needs. If your needs are beyond the students, you are referred to a specialty clinic. Urgent care for swelling or infection is booked by phone.

  • Screening visit first; your needs must match what the students are learning
  • Treatment starts only after you accept a written treatment plan
  • Bring photo ID, your insurance or medical card, a way to pay, and a list of your medicines
  • Bring proof of guardianship or power of attorney if it applies
  • Bring your recent dental records and X-rays if you have them
  • Endodontics, periodontics and oral surgery need a referral from a dentist or a UIC screening
  • Pediatric urgent care is for children 14 and under
