Callfor prices

Dental students treat adults and children (from age 1) at reduced fees. You pay a first-visit fee for a short exam and X-rays to see if you are accepted. You must agree to the full treatment plan. Open weekdays 8am to 5pm.

What it costs

Fees are much lower than at a private dentist. You get a written cost estimate with your treatment plan.

When it's open

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Closed for routine visits during school breaks and holidays. Current patients can get emergency care from 8:30am to 1pm during breaks.

Will they take me?

Your first visit is a short exam to see if your needs fit what students are learning. Most people are accepted. If not, you are told that day and referred elsewhere. For urgent problems like swelling or a broken filling, call during business hours.

Patients from age 1.

  • Screening visit first; not everyone is accepted
  • You must accept the full treatment plan; you cannot pick only parts of it or split care with a private dentist, except for emergency care
  • Bring photo ID, a form of payment, your insurance card and a list of your medicines
  • New patients arrive 30 minutes early with the new patient forms
  • Ask your last dentist to send recent X-rays before your first visit
  • Children cannot come into the treatment area and must be watched by another adult in the waiting room
  • Cancel at least 48 hours ahead; 3 missed visits can end your care
  • Orthodontics is only for current Dental Institute patients
  • If you do not speak English, bring someone to translate

How long it takes

Each visit: Longer than at a private dentist

Visits: A screening visit, then a visit to plan treatment, then treatment visits
